PetSmart is a United States national brand and chain of stores that cater to pets and their owners. Founded in 1986, it began as a pet supply store, but quickly expanded to include pet services, pet facilities and even a variety of pets themselves. In addition to supplies such as food and gear for dogs, cats, horses, birds and fish, in all of its 1,192 store locations. It also offers dog grooming services, dog training services and doggie day camp for owners who are not at home for long hours at a time. PetSmart also provides its customers with pet hotels, places where they can board their pets when they leave for a vacations and their animal friends cannot come along. While customers cannot find dogs and cats at PetSmart, they can buy smaller pets such as rodents, rabbits, birds, sea creatures and reptiles.
