Operating in a retail/warehouse format, Burlington sets up retail locations in large urban areas and stocks them with racks and racks of coats, with any other fanfare. Customers then peruse through the stock on their own to find desired products. The streamlined approach provides customers significant savings on coats and jackets versus the same product in other clothing stores. The company predominantly carries men and women?s jackets but also carries children coats as well. Burlington operates today with 440 stores in all but six states in the U.S.
