Belk is an American department store chain that was founded in Monroe, North Carolina in 1888. Its headquarters was later moved to Charlotte, NC, because it offered a more centralized location for the chain?s stores, located throughout the southern United States. Belk gained notoriety with its ?bargain sales,? which boosted the chain?s profits, not to mention locations. Today, there are more than 300 Belk stores in 19 states, with the largest concentration of stores in the Carolinas, Georgia and Alabama. The largest of the four flagships location is at the South Park Mall in Charlotte, NC; it has 330,000 square feet.

Job responsibilities require that Associates replenish and relocate merchandise both on and off of the sales floor.
